In summer however countless hiking trails are waiting for you. Go mountain-biking or visit the

WINTER
Fun starts in front of your door!
Annaberg is in the center of the family-skiing resort Dachstein-West in the beautiful Salzburger-Land and is well-known for its family-friendly slopes.
150 km of slopes as well as 70 modern lifts may let beat a skiers heart faster.
But also off the slopes there is a lot to discover: more than 20 km best prepared cross-country trails in Annaberg invite you to enjoy the beautiful landscape.
Also be sportive in uphill ski-touring and smell the fresh air when riding down. Or you enjoy the unique Dachstein panorama by a snowshoe hike trough the white snowy forests. And special fun means a sledge ride with friends or your family – to make your stay to something special!

More than 300 marked trails with countless rustic mountain lodges indulge their guests with regional delicacies. Also mountain-bikers will have a lot of opportunities: No matter, if a short bicycle excursion with the family or a multi-day-tour. with friends.
For the braves, who want to “go beyond”:
The new “Panorama-Himmelleiter” (“Ladder to the sky”), 40 meters in length, ensures a special thrill and rewards with a unique panorama view onto the Dachstein-glacier surrounded by mountains, the Lake Gosau and the Gosau valley.

Central located in the Salzburger Land area, Annaberg offers countless destinations for a day-trip – independent from all weather condition.
By car you can reach the city of Salzburg within 45 minutes. With a great variety of art, culture, it’s absolutely unique history and shopping opportunities, e. g. the Getreidegasse, Salzburg is always worth a trip.
Within only 25 Minutes, you will reach the city of Hallein – famous for its salt. However, not only known because of its salt mining: Did you know, that the world-renowned song: Stille Nacht, heilige Nacht (Silent night, holy night …) is coming from Hallein, Austra?
We also recommend a visit to Hallstatt, the well-known tiny Austrian village, not too far away from our Angerstein Chalet: Since 1997, Hallstatt is listed to be UNESCO-world-heritage!
